of membership dues to the Texas Land & Mineral Owners Association
may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary expense of your
business, however they are not deductible as a charitable contribution.
A portion of these dues is not deductible as an ordinary and
necessary business expense to the extent that Texas Land &
Mineral Owners Association engages in lobbying. The deductible
portion of dues beginning in the year 2005 is 70%.
